Sagnac Effect: The Ballistic Interpretation

By A. A. Faraj

The Sagnac effect and related topics are discussed in detail and expounded within the framework of the Emission Theory of light.

The Sagnac Experiment:
Three plane mirrors, M1, M2, and M3, and a beam splitter P, are mounted on a turntable in a circular configuration of 25 cm radius. A coherent beam of light, from a source S, is made parallel by a lens L, and sent to P.The initial beam is split by P into two beams, A and B, which traverse the same polygon path in opposite directions.

Has Cosmology taken a Wrong Turn in its Historical Development?

by Bernard R. Bligh

A review of the historical development of cosmology suggests that there are two approaches. One starts with the special and general theories of relativity and proceeds along the lines of theoretical physics; the other takes account of the fact that the universe consists of matter and that the chemical, physical and thermodynamic properties of matter need to be considered.

Relative Light Speed

By Daniel L. Haulman
1819 East Trinity Blvd., Montgomery, AL 36106

Max Planck’s Quantum Theory and Albert Einstein’s Relativity Theory contradict each other. If one is true, the other is false. Scientists continue to imagine that both are true, applying Quantum Theory to very small objects and subatomic particles, and Relativity Theory to very large objects and space. However, the two theories cannot both be true. I believe that if one of the theories must be discarded, it should be Relativity Theory, because it is based on the false premise that the speed of light is not relative.

Consequences of Relational Time

by A. K. T. Assis

There are two competing formulations of time in physics. Newton defended in the Principia the utilization of absolute time which, according to him “flows equably without relation to anything external.” Leibniz, on the other hand, was against this concept and proposed relative time to replace it: “ As for my opinion, I have said more than once, that I hold space to be something merely relative, as time is; that I hold it to be an order of coexistences, as time is an order of successions.”

The Convergence of New Physics Paradigms: Unity in Diversity

by Greg Volk
1153 Tiffany Circle N, Eagan, MN 55123

The sections in this paper were originally written for the website of the newly forming Global Science Foundation (GSF) [1], to introduce non-technical readers to the various categories of research among independent scientists today. Now they can also be found under the “Topics” heading of the World Science Database (WSD) [2]. Their second purpose is to expose researchers in each individual area to work arising from other areas, encouraging them to recognize common ground with research in completely different disciplines.

The Ten Assumptions of Science: Toward a New Scientific Worldview

by Dr. Glenn Borchardt, Ph.D.
Amazon
Description
The Ten Assumptions of Science presents the logically coherent set of assumptions destined to define 21st century scientific philosophy. Glenn Borchardt first explains why assumptions and not absolutes are necessary for scientific thinking. By exploring the opposition between deterministic and indeterministic views, he clearly shows how critical choices among underlying assumptions either clarify or muddle scientific analysis. He shows how customary mixtures of deterministic and indeterministic assumptions are responsible for the current confusion in modern physics.

Evidence for the Anisotropy of the Speed of Light

by Robert J. Johnson, Oxford, UK

The Beckmann model is considered in relation to both the Electric Universe perspective of a charged Earth and to the actual non-null results of the various Michelson-Morley-type experiments. It is demonstrated that the Beckmann model is consistent with both concepts. Furthermore, application of the Beckmann model to an orbiting charged Earth offers support to the interpretation of the non-null Michelson-Morley results as evidence not of an ‘ether wind’ but rather of an electromagnetically-induced directionally-dependent anisotropy of the speed of light. This hypothesis offers a new direction for research and possible re-analysis of existing data.
