Dingle’s Argument And Question About Special Relativity

In der bereits genannten Internetseite http://twinparadox.net/ der Natural Philosophy Alliance (NPA) aus den USA wurde inzwischen folgender, wichtiger Link ergänzt: Dingle’s Question: Dingle’s Argument And Question About Special Relativity. Nachstehend bringen wir Auszüge hieraus:
Professor Herbert Dingle ( see his book: "Science At The Crossroads" ) was one of the most respected relativists of his era – at least until he started asking questions that no one could answer. As discussed on the Report page, Dingle became involved in a much publicized debate about the Twin Paradox and his name became intimately linked with that paradox. However, Dingle soon took the essence of the Twin Paradox and created a very simple question about Special Relativity. He was to pursue his questioning of Special Relativity for decades. Many relativists heaped scorn and ridicule on Dingle and his question, but no answer was received.

Old Physics for New: a worldview alternative to Einstein’s relativity theory(2006)

by Dr. Thomas E. Phipps Jr.
amazon

Description
From the author of Heretical Verities, a study more sharply focused on the sins of relativity theory. Where physicists see transcendent beauty, Phipps finds institutionalized ugliness. Where field theorists have eyes only for the glitter of Maxwell and Einstein, he commends the subtler attractions of the Cinderella of modern electromagnetic theory, Heinrich Hertz. –
From the Foreword by Dr. David F. Roscoe

TIME DILATION – A CHALLENGE TO EINSTEIN’S SPECIAL RELATIVITY (1998)

BY JOHN DOAN
Australian Online Bookshop

Description
"A major fallacy unique in scientific history." Have you ever read the book Has Hawking Erred written by Gerhard Kraus in 1993 with that daring statement about Einstein’s time dilation?
"The fact that nearly all academic physicists support Special Relativity proves nothing about its validity," said by John Chappell Jr., chairman of NPA, in 1996. Did you know that 90 years after Einstein’s Relativity publication, physicists still fail to stop their own colleagues‘ criticism against the theory?

The Behaviour of Clocks and Rods in Special and General Relativity (2009)

By Barrie Tonkinson

Abstract
While adhering to the formalism of Special and General Relativity, this paper considers the interpretation of clock rates and the rating of clocks in detail. We also pay particular attention to the crucial requirement of reciprocity between inertial frames. Our overriding concern is to bring out a distinction between clocks which run slow (slowly) in the everyday sense and those which record a smaller time interval between a specific pair of events – while running at the standard rate. The day by day application of relativistic formalism is not affected, but the underlying physics is changed.

Phase tuning in Michelson-Morley Experiments performed in vacuum, assuming length contraction (2010)

By Joseph Levy

In agreement with Michelson-Morley experiments performed in vacuum, we show that, assuming the existence of a fundamental aether frame and of a length contraction affecting the material bodies in the direction of the Earth absolute velocity, the light signals, travelling along the arms of the interferometer arrive in phase whatever their orientation, a result which responds to an objection opposed to the non-entrained aether theory. This result constitutes a strong argument in support of length contraction and of the existence of a model of aether non-entrained by the motion of celestial bodies.

RESOLUTION OF THE NEW THEORY OF MICROWORLD (2012)

By Ph. M. Kanarev

Announcement.
It is impossible to ascertain the resolution of the old theory of microworld. The resolution of the new theory of microworld exceeds the resolution of the modern electron microscopes millionfold minimum. Faraday was the founder of the existing knowledge concerning electricity and magnetism. Maxwell, the mathematician and his contemporary, was the first was who participated in the description of the electric phenomena and processes and the magnetic ones, which were observed by Faraday. Maxwell obtained the equations, which are considered to solve all the problems connected with electricity and magnetism still [1].

About an Anomaly that challenges Relativity – Mach’s Principle versus Principle of Radical-Non-Duality (2008)

A paper by Helmut Hansen

Abstract:
The first step in scientific revolution or paradigm shift is the awareness of the existence of an anomaly. It means to see clearly that a special fact cannot be explained by an universally accepted paradigm. Although relativity – one of the most driving paradigm of contemporary physics – is working efficiently in the most cases there is one fact, which cannot be explained by it. This fact concerns a specific coincidence. Physicists have observed that the local inertial compass coincides with the frame of the most distant galaxies and quasars within the present measurement accuracy of 2.5 x 10-4 arcsec/year.

CRITICISM OF THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE RELATIVITY THEORY (2003)

By S. N. Arteha

The present book is devoted to systematic criticism of the fundamentals of the relativity theory (RT). The main attention is given to the new logical contradictions of RT, since presence of such contradictions brings "to zero" the value of any theory. Many disputable and contradictory points of this theory and its corollaries are considered in detail in the book. The lack of logical and physical grounding for fundamental concepts in the special and general relativity theory, such as time, space, the relativity of simultaneity etc., is demonstrated.

The Ideology of Relativity: The Case of the Clock Paradox (2009)

By Dr. Peter Hayes

Abstract:
In the interwar period there was a significant school of thought that repudiated Einstein’s theory of relativity on the grounds that it contained elementary inconsistencies. Some of these critics held extreme right-wing and anti-Semitic views, and this has tended to discredit their technical objections to relativity as being scientifically shallow. This paper investigates an alternative possibility: that the critics were right and that the success of Einstein’s theory in overcoming them was due to its strengths as an ideology rather than as a science.
