What led to its establishment? It is only in considering the observed <i>requirement <\/i>for Special Relativity that we can answer these questions.\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The requirement can be stated as follows:\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In order for the relativity of motion of physical bodies through space to be compatible with the constant velocity of light to an observer, physical law must be constructed such as to allow for the flexibility of distance and velocity.\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Special Relativity states that this is achieved ultimately through the flexibility of time as directly related to or dictated by motion:\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/span><i><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The constant velocity of light being perceived as 300,000kps both by an observer at rest and by an observer in motion can only be resolved by allowing for the alteration of the reference frame by which 300,000kps is measured- that reference frame being time.
