1. Definitions:
\n<\/strong>Einstein\u2019s Two Postulates-
\n1) Postulate One: Principle of Relativity- \u201c\u2026for every reference system in which the laws of mechanics are valid, the laws of electrodynamics and optics are also valid.\u201d (Miller, pg. 370)
\n2) Postulate Two: Principle of the Constancy of the Velocity of Light- \u201cLight is always propagated in empty space with a definite velocity c which is independent of the state of motion of the emitting body.\u201d (Miller, pg. 371)
\nAssumption about light which follows when one puts Einstein\u2019s two postulates together – Light is propagated in empty space with a definite velocity c with respect to every reference system in which the laws of mechanics, electrodynamics, and optics are valid.<\/p>\n

Modifications which follow from Einstein\u2019s assumption (stated above) –
\n1) Space Transformation
\n2) Time Transformation
\n3) Mass Transformation
\n4) Relativity of Simultaneity<\/p>\n

Relationship which follows from Einstein\u2019s assumption:
\n1) Mass Energy Equivalence Relationship<\/p>\n

2. Introduction
\n<\/strong>Einstein starts The Special Theory of Relativity (SRT) off, in his 1905 paper, with the introduction of two postulates. These two postulates, when taken together, produce an assumption about the velocity of light, upon which the remainder of his theory is built.
\nThis is the assumption that light travels isotropically (same speed in all directions) at c, when it travels through empty space, with respect to all \u201cinertial coordinate systems\u201d.
\n\u201cInertial coordinate systems\u201d are those systems within which the laws of mechanics (and the laws of electrodynamics and optics, as well, according to Einstein) remain valid.
\nFour modifications and one relationship follow from this assumption (see definitions, above).
\nIn this paper, we explore Einstein\u2019s postulates, on the one hand, and the modifications\/relationship on the other.<\/p>\n
