J.E. Das GOM-Projekt<\/span><\/strong><\/a> listet mehrere kritische Artikel von John E. Chappell in seiner Dokumentation<\/span><\/strong><\/a> auf und zitiert Aussagen \u00fcber Chappells pers\u00f6nlichen Erfahrungen mit der Unterdr\u00fcckung der Kritik der Relativit\u00e4tstheorie:\u00a0<\/p>\n

Die AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science) hat sich strikt geweigert, "to allow a session of anti-Einstein papers at their national meeting<\/em>" (im Verhindern liegt das Advancement!) Weil einmal ein Redner ausfiel, erlaubte der Vorsitzende, da\u00df Chappell einen Vortrag hielt, der nur 4 Minuten dauerte, wozu er ein Flugblatt verteilte: "Why suppression of free inquiry in theoretical physics?<\/em>"<\/p>\n

berichtet \u00fcber seine Erfahrungen im Physikstudium und anschlie\u00dfenden T\u00e4tigkeiten (an der Univ. of Kansas 1964-65; Yale 1967; M.I.T. 1975) mit den Machthabern der Physik in Fragen der Kritik an den Relativit\u00e4tstheorien.<\/p>\n

In: Speculations in science and technology. 3. 1980, Nr. 4, S. 489:<\/strong>\u201cIf I dared to write a thesis critical of Einstein \u201eThe upshot of all this, as far as my graduate study was concerned, was that the physicist at Kansas threatened me: if I dared to write a thesis critical of Einstein without permission from his department, even if I wrote it in some other department of the university, his department would see to it that I never received my doctorate. And, of course, this permission was not forthcoming<\/em>.\u201c\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

In: Speculations in science and technology. 3. 1980, S. 492:<\/strong>\u201eIt says, in brief, that if I am right, the theory I disagree with and all its implications must be wrong, and that this simply cannot be allowed because the theory is so widely accepted. Nothing else; not even a hint of logic or empirical fact – merely intolerance, plain and unvarnished. I complained loudly to the editor, but to no avail.
