The Einstein Case
by H. Lundsgart

This is an account of some events within the natural science, which has had rather unfortunate consequences.

It all began with Michelson & Morley’s attempt to measure velocity relative to the Ether. The expected result was 300 km pr. second, but Michelson & Morley had only measured 5 – 7,5 km pr. second. These results were taken as proof of the impossibility of measuring velocity relative to the Ether, and this impossibility was turned into the very precondition for the Relativity Theory.

About a century later three systematic errors were found, with which Michelson & Morley’s result could be corrected to 359 ± 54 km pr. second. In 1991 NASA’s satellite COBE came to the result that our solar system was moving with 365 ± 18 km pr. second. Others measured likewise.

The precondition of the relativity theory (that it is impossible to measure velocity relative to the Ether) is thus completely inconsistent with reality, which makes the whole theory null and void. If Michelson & Morley had published a velocity of 359 ± 54 km pr. second, we had never heard about the Relativity Theory.
