Abstract
While adhering to the formalism of Special and General Relativity, this paper considers the interpretation of clock rates and the rating of clocks in detail. We also pay particular attention to the crucial requirement of reciprocity between inertial frames. Our overriding concern is to bring out a distinction between clocks which run slow (slowly) in the everyday sense and those which record a smaller time interval between a specific pair of events – while running at the standard rate. The day by day application of relativistic formalism is not affected, but the underlying physics is changed.

In agreement with Michelson-Morley experiments performed in vacuum, we show that, assuming the existence of a fundamental aether frame and of a length contraction affecting the material bodies in the direction of the Earth absolute velocity, the light signals, travelling along the arms of the interferometer arrive in phase whatever their orientation, a result which responds to an objection opposed to the non-entrained aether theory. This result constitutes a strong argument in support of length contraction and of the existence of a model of aether non-entrained by the motion of celestial bodies.

Abstract:
The first step in scientific revolution or paradigm shift is the awareness of the existence of an anomaly. It means to see clearly that a special fact cannot be explained by an universally accepted paradigm. Although relativity – one of the most driving paradigm of contemporary physics – is working efficiently in the most cases there is one fact, which cannot be explained by it. This fact concerns a specific coincidence. Physicists have observed that the local inertial compass coincides with the frame of the most distant galaxies and quasars within the present measurement accuracy of 2.5 x 10-4 arcsec/year.

The present book is devoted to systematic criticism of the fundamentals of the relativity theory (RT). The main attention is given to the new logical contradictions of RT, since presence of such contradictions brings "to zero" the value of any theory. Many disputable and contradictory points of this theory and its corollaries are considered in detail in the book. The lack of logical and physical grounding for fundamental concepts in the special and general relativity theory, such as time, space, the relativity of simultaneity etc., is demonstrated.

Abstract:
In the interwar period there was a significant school of thought that repudiated Einstein’s theory of relativity on the grounds that it contained elementary inconsistencies. Some of these critics held extreme right-wing and anti-Semitic views, and this has tended to discredit their technical objections to relativity as being scientifically shallow. This paper investigates an alternative possibility: that the critics were right and that the success of Einstein’s theory in overcoming them was due to its strengths as an ideology rather than as a science.

Abstract
It is unnecessary to perform experiments to prove the invalidity of Special Relativity Theory (SRT) since the logical errors are sufficient. The following simple example shows how SRT violates the causality principle.
Analysis
Let two rockets are in mutual rest at considerable distance in a free cosmic space. Their clocks are synchronised and start at the same moment that they both accelerate at the same rate towards one another for one hour. After acceleration, they move uniformly.

Foreword to English Edition
This book presents a new approach to the Relativity Theory (RT) and Quantum Mechanics (QM). Besides the main motivation for the new approach – that RT and QM appear to be incompatible with one another – we note that a number of physically important cases and well documented experiments cannot be explained in the framework of the two theories. This approach has been presented at several conferences and symposia organized by International Scientists Club (ISC) in Russia and Natural Philosophy Alliance (NPA) in USA since 1990’s.
